The Community Relations Coordinator will be* *responsible for day-to-day
coordination and execution of a wide variety of community outreach projects
and functions including the Garden of Dreams Foundation.  Will serve as a
Community Relations day to day contact by creating and managing
professional relationships with community-based organizations and other NY
Knicks partners to implement NY Knicks programs. Direct day to day
operations of the Knicks Poetry Slam program and serve as the primary
person responsible for managing the Knicks Poetry Slam websites as well as
its social media outreach. Will serve as the staff liaison to the NY Knicks
and NBA Community Relations departments. Communication with the NBA league
such as; managing the Player Appearances Tracking System for the team and
NBA Cares programs. Will also assist in Community Relations Game related
needs (i.e. Knicks ticket sales and fundraisers in the Arena). Will serve
as the day to day contact for the Knicks Bowl planning and execution, as
well as coordinate the creative process and interactive/web content for the
event. Additionally, this position will also be responsible for content
development, writing, editing and production of the Knicks Community
Relations Annual Report, Community Relations website content, Player Recaps
and assist the CR department in administrative related duties.

Job Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years fan
development, community relations or public relations experience. Must be
organized, creative, detail-oriented, and have the ability to handle
multiple tasks. This individual must also possess excellent interpersonal,
oral and written communication skills and be able to work well and
communicate with children.   Professional basketball experience/sports
background is preferred.  PC proficiency including knowledge of Microsoft
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and the Internet is also required.
