Executive Director MORRISTOWN HOUSING AUTH – Morristown, NJ


The Morristown Housing Authority (MHA), New Jersey seeks an experienced housing professional for Executive Director to administer current Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher Program and other programs and to implement the Authoritys Annual and Five Year Plans. The Authority manages 470 family and elderly public housing units in five locations. The Executive Director reports to a seven member Board of Commissioners and manages a staff of 19 persons. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelors Degree, preferably in Public Administration, Business OANDA Administration, Management or a related field or; five or more years experience as an Executive Director , Deputy Director or other senior level management position; five (5) years of progressive responsible management experience at a public housing authority, HUD, or related not-for-profit organization; proven leadership ability in working with a Board, staff, residents, government and community service organizations; excellent fiscal, planning, administrative, and communications skills; and knowledge of HUD rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Annual salary is commensurate with qualifications in the $110,000 – $130,000 range. Successful candidates will be subject to qualification verification prior to employment including, but not limited to drug screening, employment and academic history verification, personal and professional reference check, criminal background check, ability to be bonded and verification of a valid drivers license.
